Feeling Nostalgic

The invitations for Lillian's first birthday party where delivered today. As I sat at the kitchen table looking them over I could not help but wonder where this year has gone. Our sweet Lillian is growing so big so fast and everyday is a new adventure with her. She is so stubborn, so sweet, so determined, so smart, so loving, and so very kind. I often wonder what I did so right in life to deserve such a gift as the one that God has given me in her. She is truly the bright spot of my day and constantly keeps me laughing and on the go. She has deepened my passion for God, for Shaun, for family, and for life. How empty I would feel with out my precious baby girl. It is my prayer for her that one day she will know this kind of love; the love that a mother has for her child. It is truly one of God's sweetest gifts.

Shaun and I were so proud Lillian today because unlike most Sundays she did GREAT in the nursery and we did not get paged to come get her!! Usually we get thirty minutes into Sunday school and our pager starts buzzing because our sweet girl is just not happy. I don't blame her, our 10:00 am Sunday school class falls right in the middle of her morning nap. So on Sundays she usually just cat nap on the way there. But today was a different story and Lillian loved playing with her friends in the nursery. After church we went to eat lunch at P.F. Changs and then did a little shopping.

Lillian had a lot to say during lunch today..

such a chatter box!

Playhouse Disney!

Today Shaun and I took Lillian to see Playhouse Disney Live!! We were a little worried that Lillian would be to young to enjoy it and/or that she would be scared but we were wrong; she LOVED it! Lillian danced and clapped her hands together and even would scream out in excitement during the whole show. Of course it was no surprise to see the Moms getting into the show with their kids, but even the Daddy's were doing some singing and dancing of their own.
Of course Shaun was right there with them, and he even knew ALL of the songs! There was no doubt that Lillian's favorite character was Tigger so of course we had to get her a stuffed Tigger to take home with us. She was pretty excited about her new friend and he rode home with her in her car seat. Believe it or not Lillian made it through the entire hour and a half show, but I doubt that would have been the case if it had not been for some crawling/climbing time during intermission. We had such a good time, but everyone was ready for a nap when we got home.

When I was pregnant with Lillian Shaun and I use to day dream about the fun things that we would do with her and the places we would take her. Today was just another fun thing for us to do as a family; how blessed we are to have one another.

Dinner With Papa Steve and Meme!

Last night we went to dinner at Lovoy's with Papa Steve and Meme Tina! Lillian was so excited to see her grandparents and Shaun and I really appreciated the free meal (thanks again)! When ever your take any young child/baby out you always have to be ready for anything, but Lillian did really good last night and we were so proud of her. She helped Meme eat her spaghetti, and Papa Steve even shared some of his crackers with her. They love Lillian so much and Shaun and I always enjoy watching them spend time together.

such a cuddle bug these days...I love it!

Here are some cute pictures of Lillian from tonight during a quick trip to Wal Mart and eating a yummy quesadilla for dinner- she LOVES them!! And of course before going to bed after a busy day Lillian had to climb Mount Moxie!

Fun in the Sun!

Lillian and I have been loving the weather these past couple of weeks! It has felt so nice outside that Lillian and I pretty much spend our whole day playing in the yard, swinging in her swing, or finger painting on the porch! I even pulled her highchair outside onto the porch so that she could eat her afternoon snack in the warm sun. I feel so blessed to have this time with her and am just trying to enjoy every minute of it.
