Such the Little Climber
I think that we are going to have our hands full in a few months with Miss Lillian- not that we don't already. She has really excelled in her physical development as we discovered last night that she can climb up her slide, and climb the ladder on the back of her slide! Shaun and I could not believe what we were seeing when she went to her slide and just started climbing up it!

This One is for Shaun...
Believe me being a stay @ home mommy has its challenges, but today I sat in the sand box with my daughter for over an hour and watched as she discovered how the sand felt in between her toes, how it ran through her fingers, how it clumps up with water. Today we buried her feet under squishy mud, blew bubbles, ate oranges while she sat in her baby pool, and then cuddled on the couch to read books before putting her down for her afternoon nap. It is days like today that I stop and think how blessed I am to have these precious moments with Lillian. Her first year has gone by so fast, and I feel so lucky to have been there for every second of it. But it is also days like today I am reminded that I have this time with her because I have a husband who not only is supportive of my decision to stay at home, but encourages me and believes that it really is what is best for our daughter right now.
So Shaun, thank you for the hours in the sand box, the morning cuddles on the couch, the smiles and the kisses, the hours of swinging outside, the trips to the zoo, the mommy and me classes, the first laughs, the first crawls, the rocking to sleep... thank you for the sacrifices that you have made so I could have all of those moments with her. You are an amazing father and a loving husband, and Lillian and I are so blessed to have you in our lives. I love you and respect you, and am so grateful for all that you do for our family.

Aaron's First Birthday Party
This past Saturday we helped our friend celebrate her son Aaron's first birthday! She had his party and Tannehill State Park, and it could not have been a nicer day to have a birthday party outside. I am hoping that the weather will be as nice for Lillian's birthday party in a couple of weeks. We had so much fun and Lillian loved playing with with all the other kids. But her favorite part was definitely playing in the creek with her Daddy.

Sunday at the Park
On Sunday Shaun, Lillian and I got up and headed to church. I had been feeling sick all morning, but after we dropped Lillian off at the nursery I just started feeling worse and worse. So Shaun and I decided to skip Sunday school and head home to rest. Of course I started feeling much better after we were almost home so I suggested that we take Lillian to the park sense it was such a beautiful Sunday morning. She had so much fun walking around, going down the slide and swinging with her Daddy.

Loving These Sunny Days
Today was a pretty relaxed one considering all that we did. We spent some time playing outside with Lillian's new sand and water table before our morning nap, and then Lillian's Great-Grandmother Beve came over for lunch. Lillian loves my Grandmother and it gives my heart so much joy to see how much Bev loves her. After Beve had left Lillian took her much needed afternoon nap and when she woke-up I got her straight into the car and head to Sherwin-Williams to match paint for our bedroom. We also had to make a quick stop at our vet to pick up some eye drops for Moxie.
Alli and Korey came over for dinner and to help Shaun move the furniture out of our bedroom so he could paint tonight- it looks great by the way! Alli had just gotten Eli a bunch of things monogrammed and even got Lillian and Eli these matching rompers, so of course we had to have a photo session. After a quick bath Lillian was more than ready for bed after her busy day.
