Making Use of Nap Time

I thought that while Lillian was down for her afternoon nap, and I have most of the laundry done, that I would make a post of our fun Friday so far. This morning we played inside until after a morning nap and then headed outside for some fun in the sand box. However after Lillian stuck a fist full of sand in her mouth I was done with the sand box and we headed back inside for lunch-which she ate in her little sun dome tent. After lunch we spent a little time swinging and going down the slide. Oh, and Lillian's new back pack arrived today!

One Year Check-Up!

Yesterday we went to see Dr. Walley for Lillian's one year check-up! I still cannot believe it has been one year... but lets get back to the good stuff. Lillian loved playing in the waiting room and watching all of the other kids play - she is such the little people watcher.

Here are her one year stats:

Weight: 20.3 pounds (50%)
Height: 29 1/2 inches (75-95%)
Head Circumference: 17 1/4 inches (25%-50%)

Dr. Walley said that everything looked great and that Lillian was very healthy. I guess DHR isn't coming for Shaun and I yet! He was also pretty impressed with what an "accomplished walker" she was already. He also told me not to worry about Lillian not talking, especially since she very obviously can express herself and what she wants/needs. She did have to get two shots, but of course she took them like a trooper and there were no tears!

I Found My Camera!!!

I had lost my camera over the weekend, but when I found it today I couldn't wait to post some of the cute pictures that I had taken over the past few days. Most of these are from our trip to the zoo last Friday, but there are a couple random ones thrown in there just because I thought they were to cute to leave out.

Shaun looks kind of creepy in this picture, but I loved Lillian's expression.

So Sick Of The Diaper Bag...

We are really out growing the diaper bag. Every Sunday as we are walking Lillian to the nursery before church I always say to Shaun, "I really want to get Lillian a little bag that is just for church and quick errands. I hate dragging this huge diaper bag around when we only need a few diapers, wipes, snack and a sippy cup." I keep a extra change of clothes in my car already and really anything else she might need. So today I ordered this cute backpack from www.thecrazydazy.com. It will be perfect to take to church or to just run a few quick errands. And Lillian can use it in the fall when she starts Mother's Day Out.
