Shepard Turns ONE!

I still cannot believe that this past Saturday evening we celebrated sweet Shepard's FIRST birthday. It really seems like it was only yesterday that Alli called me at 10:00 at night telling me that she was having contractions; the next day my perfect nephew was born. It has been so much fun watching him grow over this last year. In so many ways he is completely different than his brother Eli, and it has been a lot of fun comparing their different temperaments and personalities to one another over the past year.

Shepard has know idea what an amazing impact his sweet little life has already had on our family. Shaun and I feel so blessed to be his Aunt and Uncle, and so lucky that our children will get to grow up playing with him every day. We LOVE you Shepard!

Happy Birthday Eli Ellison

Last Saturday we helped celebrate our friend "Eli Ellison" (Lillian always says both his names just in case I get her Eli and Eli Ellison confused) third birthday with a VERY fun birthday party at the Mt. Laurel fire station. It was such a neat place to have a birthday party and the kids had so much fun running around the fire station and looking at the fire engines. The firefighters gave the kids a tour of the fire trucks and they let them sit in the engine and look at all of the equipment. They were so sweet and let the kids sit in the truck a million times if they wanted to. It was such a fun party and we could not have been anymore excited to celebrated Eli's third birthday with him.

Blog Worthy For Sure!

I know very few men who have worked as hard as Shaun has in the past couple of years. And it looks like it is paying off. Today Shaun received his scores for the FRC portion (deemed the most difficult section by most) of the CPA exam and....he got an 89!!! You need a 75 to pass and my husband blew it out of the water! I am so proud of him and have so much respect for everything that he has done. He is still awaiting the results for the AUD section of the exam, but he should get those by the end of the week. Shaun and I both know that he, we, could not have done this without God and we give Him all the glory and praise!

My Silly Girl

Me, "Lillian what are you doing?"
Lillian: "I am climbing up John Whitten's chair"

Me: "Why are you climbing up John Whitten's chair?"

Lillian: "So I can jump off!"

A Wonderful Father's Day

Lillian and John Whitten are so blessed to have Shaun as their Daddy. He is an amazing man, a wonderful and loving Father and is constantly striving to show our children God's love through his own actions. I could celebrate him everyday...and I should...but it it is nice to have a day set aside that is specifically all about him!! We woke up with BOTH our babies in our bed and we cuddled for a while before getting up for breakfast. Then the four of us headed to Oak Mnt to spend the morning swimming in the lake and playing on the beach. I hadn't been swimming at Oak Mnt in years and had forgotten how much fun it was. We had a great time and sweet John Whitten even fell asleep for a couple of hours while we were there. After a nice lunch together my Dad came over to our house for dessert, and we spent a couple hours visiting with him and playing with the kids. Of course it wouldn't be a good Father's Day for Shaun if I didn't get him one of his favorite foods to eat for dinner-wings! It was such a nice day together and I am just so grateful for Shaun and the Father that he is.

What I woke up to at 5:45...

love this man, and those kids!

Father's Day came early on Sunday, so I wasn't surprised to find that Shaun had dozed off rocking John Whitten while putting him down for a quick morning nap.

of course a quick snap shot of John Whitten in his cloths...I am so in love with them!
