Railroad Park

This past weekend some good friends of ours, who moved to Huntsville a few months ago, came in town and we were excited to get to spend some time with Martina and Colton Saturday at Railroad Park. The kids had so much fun running around and playing together. Lillian had actually woken up that morning at 5:15 and the first thing she said to me when I went into her room was, "I see my friend Colton today Mommy"! It was good to be able to picnic, play with the kids, and catch up with each other about everything that has been going on in our lives. The weather was amazing, and I was very impressed by Railroad park and cannot wait to go back very soon.

John Whitten enjoyed playing w/ his toys on the blanket

Mr. Colton...he is really turning into such a little boy!

Eli loves his Uncle Shaun!

Of course there was a ice cream truck placed strategically beside the park

Shepard kept trying to get Lillian's ice cream!

I LOVE this picture of John Whitten that Shaun snapped

Don't Let Size Fool You!

Everyone knows that Shepard is a good two months older than my John Whitten, twelve weeks to be exact. But if you are trying to guess which one is older just by looking at them there is no doubt that you will peg John Whitten as the oldest. That is because he is HUGE compared to sweet little Shepard. Of course I call him "little" when really he is just the normal size of a baby his age. Alli and I think it is so funny because with our first babies Eli was the giant baby and Lillian was the "tiny" one. Now it is the opposite with John Whitten and Shepard.

Check out these pictures I snapped yesterday when Alli and the boys came over to play. They are so cute together!!

Trails Of Africa

This morning we had Zoo Class at the zoo, which I recommend to anyone with little ones, it was great and Miss Katie is wonderful with the kids! It was a perfect day to be at the zoo because from 10:30-11:30 they gave members a sneak peek at the new Trails Of Africa exhibit. As a frequent visitor of the Birmingham Zoo I was very excited to finally see this new area, considering that I have spent the last year stalking its progress! Well, let me just say that it was well worth the wait! I was so impressed with the Trails Of Africa and cannot wait to spend many spring and summer days running around there with the kids!

in case anyone was wondering the little boy in the middle is our new friend Aiden. I am watching him a couple days a week for a little while.

Our Monday In Pictures

Yesterday we spent the day at home just hanging out in comfy clothes-sometimes no clothes for John Whitten-and just spent the day recovering from a long weekend. It was a great way to start our very busy week!
We started out cuddling and watching Mickey Mouse

John Whitten pooped on THREE outfits in two hours, so he stay naked for awhile.

Lillian "fixed" her dollhouse

She showed John Whitten how to play with his toy,

And insisted that he wear this hat...

he was okay with it at first....

but it didn't last long.

Look Who Is Sitting Up!

Last week John Whitten started sitting up all by himself!! I loved it when Lillian started sitting up on her own because it opened a whole world of play for her...and me! The same is for John Whitten. He plays so much now and Lillian LOVES that he can now sit up and play with her.
So proud of our little boy!
