Three Long Days

On Sunday night around 1:30 am our power went out and it was not until Wednesday night that it came back on!! It was the longest three days of our lives, and having an 11 month old baby did not make the situation any easier. Thank goodness Alli and Korey live only 5 minutes down the road and their power was back on by Monday night, so we spent a lot of time over there (thanks again guys for letting us do our laundry, eat, and everything else at your house the past two days).

While Shaun went to work everyday Lillian and I kept busy with lots of outings. We had lunch with Nunu on Monday at Rag Time Cafe, then headed over to Edgar's to order Lillian's birthday cake and smash cake for her first birthday coming up soon! Tuesday we ran some errands and ate dinner at Up the Creek. We tried to stay out until close to Lillian's bedtime at 8:00 so we could just come home and put her straight to bed. She did not seem to be phased at all by the power outage and actually enjoyed walking around with her flash-light. I am so thankful to have our power restored and cannot wait to spend all day today cleaning and doing laundry.

*Moxie sleeps outside our bedroom door in the hallway and is usually still there in the mornings when Lillian wakes-up. It has become Lillian's new thing to walk down the hall right after we get her up and change her diaper and just sit with Moxie. She will actually leans back and lounges on her until she is ready to start her morning. It is so cute to watch! We give Moxie a hard time, but she really is so patient and wonderful with Lillian.
