18 Month Check-Up

Things got so busy with Thanksgiving that I completely forgot to blog about Miss Lillian's 18 month check up. I don't know why but I think I had more questions for poor Dr. Walley at her 18 month appointment than I did when Lillian was six weeks old. For some reason 18 months just seemed like such a milestone; she is growing up way to fast! Well, before I get into anything else let me give you our little monkey's stats:

Weight: 22.11 pounds (35-50%)

Height: 33.25 inches (95%)

Shaun and I had always planned on moving Lillian to a big girl bed between 18 and 24 months. Mainly because we thought that we would have another little one by now, but sense we do not have to have her crib we thought maybe we would just leave her in it. When I asked Dr. Walley what he thought he said, "leave her in until she starts crawling out!". He has three boy ages 5 years to 9 months and told me that they moved their oldest to a big boy bed around 20 months and he did nothing but get in and out of it all night long. Not to mention that he said it runs the risk of really messing up her nap schedule because she most likely will not stay in the bed. As soon as I heard this I put the big girl bed thing out of mind. I L-O-V-E Lillian's nap time and don't think I can fight that battle quite yet.

All in all Dr. Walley said out little one was perfect! Oh, one funny thing happened there. Dr. Walley got to see first hand Lillian's potty training progress when she pulled down her diaper and attempted to pop a squat right their on his floor! What can I say, she thinks the world is her bathroom.
