This past Wednesday Shaun and I had our first ultrasound with our fertility doctor. I cannot even begin to tell you how nervous I had been over the past week for some reason. So you can imagine my relief when our little one appeared on the screen. Shaun and I could clearly see our baby's little flickering heart beat right away. He or she was measuring at 6 weeks 6 days! Of course I couldn't help but cry through the ultrasound. I don't know what it is about them, but I cry over every one's ultrasound pics for some reason. It is just so wondrous to me that God creates that life and then allow us to carry that precious child for nine months. To entrust His child in mine and Shaun's care is nothing short of humbling. After our ultrasound Shaun took a quick second to pray with me and thank God for our healthy baby before meeting with the doctor.
Our doctor said that everything looked great, but because I have been having some bleeding he wanted me to go ahead and come back next week for another ultrasound. I had this same situation with Lillian and everything was fine, so I have not really been worried about it. And of course I would love to see our sweet little baby again. My wonderful doctor also gave me a RX for
Zofran to help me with my morning sickness. I had lost four pounds in a week simply because I have been so sick, so he said I needed to get that under control.
Unfortunately because we have a
ridiculous prescription deductible to meet with our insurance, this medicine was going to cost us $193 for 12 pills of the generic brand. I told the
pharmacist that price made me more
nauseated that I already was and that I would just tough it out.
** Oh, and our official due date is September 24!
sorry, these are not the best pictures. I took them with my phone and then emailed them to myself. Shaun hasn't been home until late all week and I don't know how to use a scanner. So this was the best I could do. Hopefully next weeks ultrasound pictures will be more clear.

While I was at the doctor Lillian had a morning
playdate over at Aunt Alli's house with Eli. Ali sent me this picture from her phone. Lillian had covered their cat up with their clean laundry. She
obviously thought it was a little chilly in Aunt Alli's house.

I love looking at Lillian and your sweet new baby!! Isn't it amazing??? Looking forward to September!!
So glad your appointment went well. But am so sorry you are not feeling well! Heres to the 12 weeks mark, where all of that will hopefully disappear!
The ultrasound pic looks good! You can really see sweet baby hays well. Also love the pic of Lilly and Zoe ... I think zoe misses her already. Dont you think a baby kitten would help prepare her for a baby sister/brother !!!
Such good news! I'm so happy for you. I hope the morning sickness gets better very soon. It's NO fun!
I'm so excited for you! Lillian is going to make a great big sis!
Congrats.
