Packing With Lillian

Trying to pack up our house hasn't been exactly easy with a two year old running around and Shaun in school four nights a week. Lillian is into everything and takes it upon herself to wrap and pack things, even if I am not ready to have that particular item packed. She will just grab random things around the house, do her best to wrap it in newspaper and shove it in any box that is laying around. It is a little difficult and a tad frustrating sometimes, but Shaun and I always make it a point to involve her in everything we do. And I especially want her to be apart of packing and unpacking our house so that she really feels apart of the process, and gets the idea that we are moving to a new home.

Today, I told Lillian that she was in charge of decorating the boxes. I can't believe it took me a week of packing before I thought of letting her do this, but it worked out great. She LOVED it and it was a great way to involve her, but also gave me the opportunity to get some quality packing done!

she wanted me to write her and baby brother's names on the toy box

You might think I have packed up all of Lillian's clothes, but our little girl just likes to be all natural!
