Thank You Dr. Ferber!

Operation Ferberize was a complete success after just one night! The book had said that it might take as many as seven nights, but thank God it only took Lillian one night to catch on. She cried on and off for 45 minutes, during which Shaun and I went into her room every 6 minutes to reassure her that she was safe and it was simply time to go to sleep. I had worried that Lillian was just strong willed and did not want to sleep, (that would have been a much bigger problem) when really it seems like she just did not know how to go to bed without being rocked or nursed to sleep. All I know is that for the past three night Lillian has slept from 8:00 pm until 7:00 am! She will wake up a few times and cry out, but she puts herself right back to sleep after only a few minutes without Shaun or I having to go into her room. So a BIG THANK YOU goes out to Dr. Ferber for my full nights sleep.

*this is how Lillian fell asleep after her first night of Ferbering. Sorry about the picture quality...I took it with my cell phone. But hopefully you can still she how she is bent over herself. It was pitiful. I cried when I walked into her room and saw her this way. It is like she just gave up on us and passed out.
