The Perfect Sunday

Today was just one of those perfect days that you really wish would never end. We got up this morning and hung out around the house until it was time to go to church. I was a little stressed out when we walked out the door because we were running late- and I HATE to be late. In fact I was so stressed that I almost told Shaun that we should just skip church today. But I got it together and we actually got there with a couple of minutes to spare. And let me just tell you that I am SO happy that I didn't skip out today. God had something that he wanted Shaun and I to hear, and our hearts were overwhelmed with His love and grace when we left.

Afterwards we met Alli, Korey and Eli at Jason's Deli for lunch-which will go down in history as the Jason's Deli Lunch Disaster! Eli was an angle like always, but I cannot say the same for our little girl. She got extremely frustrated whenever Shaun or I tried to help her with her sandwich or anything else. She tried to share everything with Eli, but he was just out of arms reach so she would throw her food or fruit to him instead. I am sure he appreciated this, but he did have his own food so he didn't want to eat Lillian's scraps. This also frustrated her to an extent. Then she pulled her plate off the table creating a HUGE mess, but this was not before she caused a seen with her screaming. Apparently she does not like it when Shaun cuts the crusts off of her sandwich. One spilled cup of water later-my fault- Shaun and I called it quits and were ready to go. We left and went to Alli and Korey's house to change clothes so that we could all go to the Moss Rock Festival at the Preserve in Hoover.

The Moss Rock Festival was AMAZING and the weather was PERFECT! Shaun and I had so much fun playing with Lillian in the field and walking around looking at what the vendors where selling. It was nice to just sit in the grass, drink a little wine and listen to live music. Eli and Lillian of course had a great time playing together-although Lillian needs to learn that she is not Eli's mommy. Shaun and I were sad to leave, but after being there for almost four hours Lillian was ready to go home. This will definitely go down in mine and Shaun's book as a perfect Sunday with our family.

*sorry this post was so choppy...it is past my bed time.

it was so cute.

Lillian was not in the picture taking mood...

poor uncle Korey- he got this hot dog for himself...

Lillian could not get enough of Eli...what's new?

taking a little break from the fall fun with Daddy
this video is too funny... Lillian is obsessed with Eli, and doesn't ever want him to crawl away from her. She kept trying to make him sit in her lap.
