A Birthday Party For McKenna

Have I mentioned that Lillian LOVES her American Girl doll McKenna? Well, if I haven't...that little girl really loves her doll McKenna. On Sunday morning Shaun let John Whitten and I sleep in(we both slept until 9:30), while he and Lillian headed on to church. He had a little surprise lunch date of Mexican-Lillian's favorite- planed for them with a special trip to target to pick out a new pair if dress up heels. Have I mentioned that Shaun is pretty much head over heels for our little girl? Anyway, on their way to church Lillian proclaimed that it was McKenna's birthday. Of course it was no surprise to me when Shaun quickly jumped on board and called to tell me that we were having a party for McKenna that night. What else would we have done? We couldn't just not celebrate our daughter's doll's birthday, could we?

We went out and bought party hats, balloons and of course Shaun and Lillian made a cake...with pink icing. After we party we had a fashion show(Lillian is very into these lately), where of course John Whitten and Shaun got to act as the judges. It was a wonderful Sunday making memories.
