I Don't Want To Jinx It But....

Lillian laid right down in her bed tonight and hasn't gotten up once so far! And that was 40 minutes ago! So lets just hope that tonight when 11:00 rolls around I don't find a little girl sitting in the dog bed with her BFF Moxie.

Here are some fun pictures from our day....

having fun at school!

being silly at dinner

reading books with Daddy before bed.

then it was Lillian's turn to read to Daddy...

I think Shaun really enjoyed "Go Dog Go!"

Nigth One In The Toddler Bed= 3 Hours Of Sleep

I cannot even begin to tell you how terrible Lillian's first night in her toddler bed went. Lillian got up every five minutes! But she wouldn't come to find Shaun or I, no she just went about her business. She would take her baby and just sit in the bathroom until Shaun or I found her. Then when we would take her back to her bed she would point to our room and say, "please, please Mama". It broke my heart to keep putting her back in her bed, but my broken heart quickly turned to frustration around 3:00 in the morning and she was still running around. About 4:45 am I told Shaun that we were turning her toddler bed back into a crib, and getting a crib tent for her.

Look how happy this kid in her crib tent. I bet her parents are even happier than she is.

We Always Love A Play-Date With Eli

Sense Lillian has learned to crawl out of her crib we went ahead and made it into a toddler bed. We put her down 15 minutes ago, and she has gotten out of it 5 times already.

We Knew This Was Coming...

...looks like we are going to be putting her mattress on the floor.

LOVE This Picture...

I have always loved Shaun's eyes. When I was pregnant I prayed that Lillian would have her Daddy's gentle, kind, green eyes. I don't know why that was so important to me, but I am glad that God humored me.

Too Tired To Think Of A Catchy Title

I have been neglecting the blog big time over the past few months. So my new years resolution is to give our blog a face life- as soon as I figure out how to do that exactly. Anyway, here a some pictures from the holidays that I didn't post... I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year!

poor Moxie, she can never catch a break

Remaining Faithful and Hopeful

Last Sunday our teachers asked us to think back over this past year and share with our class how we had seen God's hand moving in our lives. As soon as the she finished the sentence Shaun squeezed my hand and tears came to my eyes. We obviously were thinking of the same thing...our struggle to have another child. Oh, how God's hand has been in our lives. What a comfort it has been to have felt him holding us, guarding our hearts, protecting our marriage through all of this over the past year.

I constantly think about the day I found out I was pregnant with Lillian and how scared, upset, worried, happy, nervous Shaun and I both felt. We had been married for two seconds, and wondered how God could trust us with such a responsibility so early on. Looking back I now know that God knew Shaun and I would both need her right now. He knew the struggle we would face in conceiving another child and the pain that it would inflict. He knew the comfort she would bring to us month after month, pregnancy test after pregnancy test. How great is God's plan, how perfect is his timing?

Shaun and I decided this past September to take a break from fertility treatments for a few months, and it has actually been nice. But after taking this time to refuel emotionally and physically we are ready to start back down that road. Hopefully God will grant us our hearts desire, and we will be pregnant soon. But until then we shall continue to remain faith and patient as God's plan for our family unfolds.
