Our First Week With Jack

As it turns out, it's true that having a puppy is a lot like having a baby. They nap, cry if they are alone or not being held, likes to sleep in the bed with you, and they wake you up a couple times a night (to be taken outside to potty). Good thing that we still have a "baby" that also does all of those things so Jack has fit right in with our family. Our first week with Jack has been surprisingly easy. He has only had ONE accident in the house since we brought him home! Lillian is obsessed with him, and is constantly holding him and trying to take care of him. She is such a little mommy and I love it! John Whitten is jealous of the dog, which Shaun and I find hilarious. If I am holding Jack he cries until I put him down and then he is happy. We have to be really careful with John Whitten around Jack; he could crush the poor puppy in a heartbeat. He is our gentle giant...except for the gentle part. Jack only weighs a pound and a half, and honestly it even makes me a little nervous to hold him. Keep in mind our last dog was a great dane!
