Right now Lillian is taking her nap, I just finished this mornings second load of laundry and I am planning my much anticipated trip to target later this afternoon. But as I am sitting here thinking about how I have to time my target trip just right so as not to interfere with Lillian's afternoon nap, and how I need to change shirts because the one that I am wearing is not a practical choice for nursing Lillian quickly and quietly in public, it has dawned on me how much our lives have changed in just a year. Shaun and I use to have a guest room, a home office and date night happened once a week. Now our guest room is painted pink and green and permanently occupied, while our home office has been transformed into a playroom. Dinner and a movie is a thing of the past, and Shaun and mines new idea of a date night is eating dinner together at 8:30 after we have put Lillian to bed for the night. While things may not have happened exactly as we had planed them, our lives are richer and more fulfilled than they have ever been. I keep glimpsing over at our Christmas tree. There, hanging in between the white lights and silver balls, is an ornament my mom gave me last Christmas. It is a picture frame that holds my 20 week ultra sound picture of Lillian. And next to it is a Baby's First Christmas ornament that Shaun and I picked out for her a couple of weeks ago.
