Mother's Day 2010

Our morning started out with Lillian coming into our room at 6:00 am with only a t-shirt on, her diaper in one hand, her lovey in the other. She walked right up to Shaun handed him her diaper and said, "wet Daddy". I was thankful that Shaun let me sleep for another hour and half before it was time to get ready for church. We had a great Sunday school lesson, and then headed to eat a yummy lunch just the three of us. After lunch we made a quick trip to BuyBuy Baby in Patton Creek! I have been dying to go there, but have not had the time since they opened up a couple of weeks ago. Let me just tell you, that store is AMAZING! I might never go back to Babies R Us ever again! I gave my future double stroller a test drive around the store with Lillian in it, and checked out Baby Hays new Chicco car seat. After Shaun had to practically drag me out of the store, we headed home for Lillian's afternoon nap. She slept for almost three hours; a wonderful Mother's Day gift in itself. Shaun made me extra blackened chicken alfredo for dinner, and topped it off with a hot brownie and ice cream for dessert (I will blame him at my next weigh in at the doctors office).

I am so thankful to have a such a wonderful husband who goes out of his way to make my Mother's Day extra special. The funny thing about today was that Lillian really wanted nothing to do with me. She wanted to hold Daddy's hand during dinner, cuddle him before bed, play with him after her nap, and say her bed time prayers with him. What can I say, she is a Daddy's girl. I love that little girl more than she will ever know, and I am so honored to be her Mommy.
