Ultrasound Pictures

Here are a few of the ultasound pictures from our 20 week scan earlier this week. Let me point out that our babies always face the screen and stare at us. We never get that cute profile picture of the little baby sucking his/her thumb. These are the best pictures that we were able to get of our little baby this week.

this is the best picture we got- but I thought that it was also the sweetest.

you can see that he/she has their hand on his/her head.

here is the envelope that contians our "gender" pics. Right now it is sitting in the back of our kitchen drawer, where it will stay for the time being.

Sweet Baby Hays,
I cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful it was to see you on the ultrasound again. To see that you were healthy and right on track in the growth department brought so much joy and relief to your Daddy and I. You big sister Lillian loved seeing you on the ultrasound, and kept telling us that you were sleeping. She sat right beside me during most the exam, and kept putting her hand on my belly to feel you. Already she loves you so much sweet baby, and I hope that you grow to have the kind of relationship with her that I have with my brothers and sister.
While we chose not to find out that day whether or not you are a boy or girl, we have chosen names for you. If you are a little boy than your Daddy and I will name you John Whitten Hays. John is of Hebrew origin and means God's grace or God is gracious. Your Grandfather and your uncle both are named John, and your Daddy and I are very proud to pass this name on to you. However, if you are a little girl than we will name you Leah Greene Hays. Leah is also of Hebrew origin and means delicate; which is exactly what I picture when I think of our little girl. I love you so much, and am extremely grateful for the wonderful blessings that God has lavished upon our family. Your Daddy and I pray for you everyday, and pray that you will grow up to seek God's will for your life.
But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create...
Isiah 65:18
We Love You,
Mommy
