Early last Friday morning Shaun and I load up the kids an headed to the Florida to meet Tina and Steve for a little beach vacation. It still amazes me how crazy a simple car ride can be with a preschooler and a baby. I ended up sitting between them for the last couple hours of the trip doing a little singing and dancing to keep John Whitten happy. Oh, the things we do for our kids. We finally made it to the condo around 11:30 and spent the rest of the afternoon playing in the pool and on the beach. The weather simply felt amazing and the water was so clear the days we were there. I was worried that it would be too hot for John Whitten to stay out on the beach all day but it really was not, and there seemed to always be a really nice breeze. On the first full day there I spent the morning in the condo with John Whitten while he napped and Shaun played with Lillian on the beach. And then we switched it up on the second day and I got to spend some time playing with Lilly bug in the sand and splashing around the pool. Shaun was even sweet enough to stay in the condo with the kids one day during their afternoon naps to let me get some beach time by myself...it was heaven! We had a great time and it was a great chance to relax and just spend time together as a family. Lillian is already asking to go back!

but John Whitten and I made it done there eventually.
