Easter has always been my favorite holiday, but this year it took on a whole new meaning for me as a parent. Lillian asked questions about Jesus' death and resurrection that she had never asked before, and Shaun and I were so excited to sit down with her and our Bibles and try our best to answer her questions. We are kind of at the difficult place with Lillian in terms of understanding. She knows and understands enough to ask the tougher questions, but isn't really to the place yet where she can fully comprehend the answers to those kind of questions. But Shaun and I do our best, and we can really see her maturing spiritually.
This morning Lillian and John Whitten where excited to find their Easter baskets full of goodies waiting on them. Shaun read us the Easter story and all got ready for church early so this crazy Mommy had plenty of time to snap about a million pictures of my two beautiful babies. After church we went over to my Grandparents house for lunch and an egg hunt. Lillian had a great time finding eggs and John Whitten had a great time throwing eggs (everything is a ball to that boy these days). We visited with my parents before heading home for some much needed naps. MeMe came over this evening for a little visit sense we didn't get to see her earlier today. She brought Lillian and John Whitten some Easter goodies-thanks again MeMe!
It was a wonderful and relaxing Easter for the Hays family.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even thought he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.
