My 19 Month Old Boy!

I cannot believe that my sweet boy is 19 months old! He is getting so big, but I still cannot call him a toddler! I only refer to him as a baby, even though Lillian is quick to say, "Mommy, he is not a baby anymore". He IS and will always be my baby...no matter what my husband and three year old say to me.

Sense his surgery a few weeks ago, John Whitten is really eating so much better. It took him a little while to trust his body to work, but once he ate a few things and didn't get sick it was like something started clicked. So at 19 months this boy is finally eating food! And now that he is actually getting the food he needs, he is also finally sleeping through the night!! Breast milk was wonderful, but not enough to hold him over for long periods of time so he was nursing every 3 or 4 hours. It was exhausting, but I honestly really proud of myself for hanging in there when I feel like he really needed me. With that being said, I cried when he ate his first very      chick-fi-la chicken nugget.

Here are a few little facts about my boy:
  • says Momma, Dadda, Lillian, Jack, Dad, ball, bath, no, nite-nite, bye, Eli
  • He has gone from loving baths to HATING bath time. Well, he loves to play in the bath but when it come to bathing him he freaks out.
  • He has a huge sweet tooth.
  • He loves to cuddle in the mornings when he wakes up. And I know that when he wakes up I will have to stop everything to cuddle him for at least twenty minutes. Good thing I don't mind the cuddles.
  • John Whitten and Lillian play so well together and he does everything that she does.
  • He loves our dog Jack and every time we leave the house he will have to say good bye to him a million times. He gives him at least ten hugs and kisses before I can get him out the door.
  • I love that he still has chubby little baby hands.
  • We are still nursing in the mornings when he wakes up, at nap time, when he wakes up from his nap and at bed time. I love that relationship and plan on letting him self wean.
We love you, sweet boy!

he looks just like Shaun in this picture

I have continued to extend faithful love to you.

So proud of John Whitten for keeping at it (eating that is)! I know it's a huge relief for both of you. He is simply darling and I'm so glad I got to see all of you!
