28 Weeks And Counting

Today Lillian and I took a quick visit to my OB for my 28 week check-up. She was so excited to "hear baby brother's heart", and insisted that Dr. Straughn also put the doppler on her tummy so she could hear her baby. My stomach was measuring 25 1/2 weeks, which is a little behind but nothing to be concerned about. She also went ahead and "checked" me sense I have been having some intense Braxton Hicks and a lot of cramping. I am already 1 cm dilated, but Whitten has not dropped, and my doctor is not concerned about being dilated this early. I stayed 3 cm dilated with Lillian for weeks and still had to be induced at 39 weeks. And Shaun and I really need Whitten to stay put until September 16 (the earliest date my doctor will induce me). Things are so hectic with Shaun's school and work schedule until then, and I we would really like for him to be able to take a week or two off when Whitten is born.
Now that Alli has had my perfect little new nephew Shepard, I find myself that much more anxious to hold my own little boy. Not to mention that between the summer heat, the long days without Shaun, the out of control heart burn, the pregnancy insomnia and the terrible twos I don't know how much longer I can handle this pregnancy. But I just keep reminding myself that this is it for us, and I should remember to appreciate every little kick and flip.

me and my first sweet baby!
