Today was a very special day for our family; it was John Whitten's dedication at our church. This is a day that Shaun and I have prayed about together for a long time, and we were so thankful that so many of our family members came to support us. I always get so emotional about things like this, but raising a child is such a huge responsibility and Shaun and I know that we couldn't do it without God's love and guidance. I think about how much I love my children- you know, in that crazy, obsessed, can't leave them, stalker kind of way- and yet Christ loves them SO much more than that. More than Shaun or I ever could...that is just completely mind blowing to me. I cannot wait to teach and talk to John Whitten about God's love and His gift of salvation!
"I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. So now I give him to the LORD. For his whole life he will be given over to the LORD."

One more thing...You tell Alli that she should be praying during the prayer...and NOT taking pictures of JW! I hope she doesn't have a problem getting into heaven later on because of this!
