Easter 2011

Easter is my favorite holiday, everything about it make me smile. We had a great Easter this year and enjoyed spending time with the Long/Hays family. Easter morning we woke up bright and early, and Shuan read us the Easter story after we did Easter baskets. We experienced a wonderful church service Sunday morning before heading over to eat lunch at Shaun's parents house. Of course my mother in law, Tina, out did her self with the cooking and I pretty much left there misriable because I was so stuffed! Julia and Ryan had the bright idea to bring their beach ball sprinkler over with them and after lunch the kids ran around and played in the sprinkler for a long time. Poor Lillian didn't have her bathing suit so I just stripped her down to her undies. She looked so cute running around with her cousins.



Like I said Easter is my favorite holiday. Not because of the Easter bunny or Easter baskets. Not because it is a great excusse to buy a bright and colorful dress for yourself and cute smoking outfits for your kids. Not because there is a ton of sweet treats or a huge Easter meal to eat. Easter is my favorite hoiday because a man chose to die on a cross for MY sins and then three days later over came the grave and rose again. Becasue of His selfless act I have salvation. Praise God, for he has done great things!
