Our Last Story Time

Every Monday you will find Lillian, John Whitten and I at the Hoover library for the Together With Twos story time with Mr. Jeremy. Alli and I started taking Lillian and Eli to story time right after they turned one, and it is something that we have loved doing with them every week. We met some of our best friends at story time and have loved getting to know the staff at the the Hoover Public library. And since we are there three times a week (mondays for Lillian's story time, tuesdays for John Whitten and thursday nights for PJ story time), they have really gotten to know us too.

A couple of weeks ago we attended our very last Together With Twos story time. They end story times for summer and since Lillian will be three in just 11 days we will be starting the three year old story time in September. Alli and I were really very sentimental about it, and of course had to take a million pictures of our two years olds...they won't be two for much longer. Soon Lillian will no longer be a "toddler" but instead she will graduate to a "preschooler". That is a little hard for me to swallow, and I am trying not to think about it too much but story time on Mondays was a big part of her toddler-hood and now it is over as well. I have said it before and will say it say it again- there is nothing more bitter sweet than watching your child grow up.
