I cannot believe it, my baby girl is three years old today! Lillian is no longer a toddler by definition but instead is now considered a preschooler! It blows my mind to think of how quickly she is growing up. This morning I woke up and laid in bed replaying the moments after her birth back in my head. She had fluid in her lungs so I only got to hold her for a second before they took her to get the fluid out. Afterwards they were walking her across the room to weigh her and I said, "Hi Lillian"...she turned her head and looked right at me. That is a moment that is very special to me and I think about it often. I cannot believe how much I love my little girl, and thankful I am that God created her specifically for our family.
We had a great time celebrating Lillian's birthday at Gymboree this past Saturday! She had so much fun with her friends and I think that it was by far the most relaxed party we have done for her over the last few years-at last I felt relaxed. Thank you so much to everyone that came and made it special for Lillian and for Shaun and I.
