Hot Afternoon At Veterans Park

A couple of weeks ago we went to Veterans Park to celebrate We Love Hoover Day. It was a lot of fun and they had a ton of free activities for the kids including face painting, hula hops and bouncy houses! Not to mention that there was a ton of food there from Jim N Nicks- a personal favorite of mine! Shaun was in Pleasant Grove that Saturday, so the kids and I had a great time just spending some time together and playing at the park. My Dad is on Hoover's city council so he and my Mom were also there and it was fun to hang out with them for the afternoon. They are two of the busiest people I know, so it can be challenging to pin them down in one place for long. It was a very hot afternoon and made me long for days at the pool, hopefully we will find a pool to be member of very soon!
