This past Tuesday Lillian and I tried seeing a movie for the FIRST time! We took advantage of the free movie at the Rave at Patton Creek in Hoover (even moms got in free). I figured that if Lillian didn't like it or freaked out than we could just walk out without losing anything. We saw Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakquel, and I thought that Lillian did really well. There were a lot of people there and Lillian's friend Emma and her Mommy Jessica even sat next to us. The theater had these really cute booster seats, and Lillian loved sitting in it with her "treats". All in all we lasted forty minutes before we had to leave, but if I had just let Lillian climb the stairs like she wanted to than we probably could have stayed for the whole movie. I think Jessica told me later that Emma lasted about ten minutes longer than Lillian, but I think both of them really enjoyed it, and we will definitely go back during these hot summer months.
she looks like such a big girl in this picture.
I didn't get too many good pictures while we were there. I was trying not to be that crazy mom with the camera- even though I usually am anyway.
I love reading your blog, b/c I can hear your voice in my head saying the words you write (not b/c I have voices in my head....all the time....) but b/c you type just like you talk-- like the whole " I was trying not to be that crazy mom with the camera"-- I can SOOOO hear you saying that-- glad you had fun-- we are taking Hudson to see Toy sTory 3- that is his big prize for potty training-- we've told him that you can't go to the movies if you wear diapers-- you miss too much if you have to change it!
