After a long weekend in Dothan, AL for a wedding I was pretty worn out this afternoon when Lillian and I got home. Shaun tried to make me go a lay down for a little bit while he played with Lillian, but I insisted that we drive to Jasper-which was further than I thought- to pick up these cute picnic tables that a friend of mine found on craigslist. They are hand made and painted all kinds of cute colors, and are only $35 dollars! I finally convinced Shaun that I wasn't too tired to go and we headed out the door. What should have taken maybe an hour round trip ended up taking us almost three hours! Shaun didn't ask the lady for directions-like I told him to- and we ended up on the wrong side of town. Who would have thought Jasper was so big? Then when we finally got there we discovered that they only took cash; which we of course did not have on us. After running down the road to the nearest ATM we were able to get one very cute picnic table in our car (we were trying to get two in there), but I will go back for the other one tomorrow.
To make a LONG story short, on our way home Lillian was getting very hungry and cranky. I had already been in the car for along time that day just driving back from Dothan so my nerves were already on edge, and I was willing to do anything to make Lillian happy in that moment. She asked me for her backpack and not thinking about everything in there I just handed it to her figuring she just wanted the wipes. Like most moms with a toddler I don't carry a purse and instead throw my licence and check card in Lillian's bag. It is too much of a pain to carry her bag and a purse. Well, today I had my makeup bag in her backpack with the rest of my stuff. After a while we noticed that Lillian was very quiet, and when I turned around-hoping I would just find her a sleep- here is what I saw......
she had a ton of make-up on!
Shaun told her that she was so beautiful that she didn't need any make-up. A perfect opportunity for a Daddy to build his little girl's self confidence.

That is too funny!! Haley got into my makeup brushes the other day and I was glad she isn't able to get the caps off of things yet. I'm glad you got pictures of that though. Now, you need to post pics of the picnic tables :).
First of all let me say, that Lillian is so good at applying mascara! Ha!
Second of all... I AM SO SORRY that I caused all of that inconvenience! You should have gotten Lillian's table and FORGOTTEN all about C's table. You were only supposed to get it for him if it was NO EXTRA trouble! I feel so bad. But thank you...
